Jazz Calendar

The QArts Jazz Concert Series returns Sunday Sept. 27, 2026, at the QArts Galley, located at 1229 Hancock St in Quincy Center. Doors open at 3:00 PM, and the concert runs from 4:00–5:15 PM. A reception will follow the concert, with wine, cheese, and snacks available for a donation.

This concert features the Ron Reid Liberty Quartet. Led by Trinidad-born bassist, arranger, composer and educator Ron Reid, this group blends sophisticated jazz with vibrant Afro-Caribbean and Latin rhythms, featuring original compositions and inventive arrangements of classic standards

The QArts Jazz Concert Series is a collaboration between the Quincy Art Association and New England Jazz Connections, designed to:

Build community by bringing people together through live jazz in an intimate, welcoming gallery setting.
Connect music and visual art by creating meaningful dialogue between the gallery’s exhibitions and live musical performances.
Expand access to the arts by presenting high-quality jazz in a nontraditional venue and welcoming both new and longtime audiences.

Admission is $15 ($20 at the door), $10 for students/under 18, and $5 for WIC/EBT holders.

This series celebrates Boston’s deep jazz heritage while creating new spaces for community, creativity, and connection.
