Tenor saxophone great and Boston native Ricky Ford returns home for a concert with the Makanda Project. In addition to his extraordinary saxophone playing, the program will feature mostly his compositions, including three new pieces he has written based on poems by Paul Laurence Dunbar. For this concert the normally 13-piece Makanda Project expands to 16 with a larger horn section.
