Jinxland Presents: Sorcerers' Soiree
A Defiant Night of Music, Art & Creativity Comes to Somerville This September
SOMERVILLE, MA — Jinxland invites the community to gather, glow, and get a little enchanted at Sorcerers' Soiree, a one-night celebration of music, dance, poetry, divination, circus, witchy wares, and interactive art, taking place Saturday, September 19 at Warehouse XI in Somerville, MA.

Sorcerers' Soiree is a summoning — a chance to assemble in person, share space, and share joy. It's an all-ages gathering built for anyone who wants to bring their body, their spirit, and their voice into one room. The magic only happens when we're together, and this night is designed to prove it.

On the Lineup
Music

The Macrotones — A 10-piece Boston powerhouse since 2007, blending off-beat funk and soul rhythms from across the globe. Blazing horns, mighty hooks, and a sound that's been called everything from imperial funk to "a soundtrack for spies." The band has shared stages with acts like Lee Fields & the Expressions, Durand Jones & the Indications, and the Budos Band. Their latest album, From The Void, is out now.

Jinxland — Frightful faerie tales meet soulful queer witchfunk. Jinxland sings for the lost, the fearless, and the followers of the forbidden — summoning listeners on a journey into the unknown.

Vudu Sister — A Gothic-folk ensemble from Providence, RI, with over two decades of performance experience. Fronted by French-American songwriter Keith J.G. McCurdy, their live sound weaves acoustic and baritone guitar, violin, cello, and vocals into something shaped by European folk, '90s grunge, H.P. Lovecraft, and classical myth.

Rachel Barringer — Aerialist and contortionist performing hoop, silks, rope, multi cordes, and aerial straps with the Boston Circus Guild, Nimble Arts, and Seaside Circus.

Jezmina Von Thiele — Tarot, palm, and tea leaf reader in the Romani tradition, plus writer, performer, and educator whose work has appeared in Narrative Magazine, The Kenyon Review, and Prairie Schooner.

Michael Dewberry — A wizard of light and video, guiding the room through a visual journey spanning sculpture, architecture, music, video, and electronics.

Artists

Holy Crow — Multidisciplinary artist and fortune-teller known for magical, macabre handmade jewelry and vintage curation, with work featured in The Toast, The Princeton Review, Rain Taxi, and DapperQ.

Hecho A Mano Provisions — Handmade candles honoring sustainability and elegance in equal measure.
