Are you a jazz radio fan?

Do you have an Android phone or tablet?

The Android version of JazzBird, JazzBoston's global radio app, is ready for testing,
and we'd love to have your help.

To all the jazz lovers we know, wherever you are:

At a time when live, hosted jazz radio shows are becoming harder to find and many places have no local jazz station at all, JazzBoston and our partner, Audibilities LLC, have designed an app that offers an exciting future to the listeners and producers of jazz radio. JazzBird provides a curated portal to the best jazz radio shows streaming live from stations around the globe. With JazzBird you can listen to quality programming at any time of the day or night, from any part of the world, anywhere you are. And because the app comes from JazzBoston, shows created by stations in the Boston area top the list for each time slot.

Be the first to check out the Android version
The popular JazzBird app has been available for iPhones and iPads since last spring. Now we're close to a final version for Android phones and tablets. We need jazz enthusiasts to try it out and give us feedback. The Android world covers many different devices and versions, and we need to confirm which work reliably and which are maybe not so great for JazzBird. (Hopefully, few or none.)

This is your chance to see the app before it gets formally released. Your feedback will help us make it the best it can be and further JazzBoston's mission to build and serve audiences for jazz here and elsewhere. JazzBoston is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization. We rely on enthusiasts like you to help us out.

How you can help
So, do you have an Android phone or tablet? If so, can you give us a few minutes to download the JazzBird app from the Store (it's free for testing), try it for a few days, and fill out a brief online questionnaire? Our target is a full release by the end of the year, so please respond right away. If you can help with testing, please send us your email address at jazzbird@jazzboston.org. Our reply will contain simple instructions for installing and using JazzBird and for letting us know how well it works for you.

Visit JazzBird on Facebook
As testing progresses, we'll post updates and results on the JazzBird Facebook page. You can post questions for us there as well. You can also use the page to communicate with your fellow testers all over the world. There's a good chance this will be fun.

Please help us if you can. Thank you so much,

The JazzBird Team
