Led by songwriter Michael Tarbox, the group also features violinist Daniel Kellar and the hard-hitting rhythm section of string-bassist Johnny Sciascia and drummer Jon Cohan. Kellar’s mesmerizing solos, and Tarbox’s barbed-wire guitar, give the band its edge. The combination of Sciascia’s percussive rockabilly style and Cohan’s New Orleans parade drums is its secret sauce. The Tarbox Ramblers have released two albums on the Rounder label, played clubs and festivals throughout The US and Canada, and worked with heroes like Robert Plant, Allison Krauss and legendary producer Jim Dickinson.
