Trumpeter/composer Charles Tolliver again joins the Makanda Project to kick off their 2026 season of free concerts in Roxbury's Nubian Square. The program will mostly feature Mr. Tolliver's compositions and stunning big band arrangements. This is a chance to see and hear a key person in modern jazz history, who has helped set directions for the art form as a trumpeter, composer, big band leader, and founder of musician-run Strata East Records.
