The Debo Ray Experience at Long Live Roxbury will feature powerhouse vocalist Debo Ray, bassist Tom Appleman, keyboardist Alex Olsen, guitarist Scott Tarulli, drummer Jerry Velona and two backup singers, Jess Curran and Alex Olsen.

Recording Artist/Vocalist extraordinaire Debo Ray has performed on some of the world’s biggest stages: Newport and Monterey Jazz, Carnegie Hall, The Hollywood Bowl and more. Her versatility from neo-soul/R&B to jazz, pop, classical/opera and rock is unmatched. In a Boston Globe feature, music critic Jon Garelick asks: “Is there anything Debo Ray can’t sing?”as well as describing her ”emotional expression and charismatic stage presence”.  Debo was nominated for a Grammy for her work with NEA Jazz Master Terri Lyne Carrington\'s band Social Science.  About Debo, Carrington says, \"Debo Ray is a musician’s musician. Her instrument is unparalleled, and she effortlessly weaves through styles and genres to deliver exactly what the music needs\".  Debo recently released her debut eponymously titled album of original contemporary R&B material which she co-wrote along with, among others, Grammy winning producer Prince Charles Alexander who said, “I’ve worked with a lot of great vocalists from Mary J. Blige to Aretha Franklin... and have never had a more pleasurable and musical experience in my career. She has it all!!”   Since releasing this past Valentine’s Day, the album has received rave reviews and over 250,000 streams on Spotify  Each song tells a bold, unique story musically and lyrically.    Debo is a faculty member at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
