Phil Sargent and Ana Petrova are adventurous jazz artists whose work bridges modern improvisation with global influences. Guitarist and composer Sargent blends contemporary jazz language with the rhythmic complexity and modal colors of Balkan and Eastern traditions, performing with artists such as Dave Liebman, Jerry Bergonzi, Bob Moses, and Matt Wilson. Pianist and organist Ana Petrova brings an intuitive, groove-driven approach shaped by global jazz traditions; she has performed with Chris Potter, Lakecia Benjamin, Grace Kelly, and Dave Liebman. Based in New York and New England, Sargent and Petrova are active performers on the international jazz scene, appearing at major venues and festivals while contributing distinctive, forward-looking voices to today’s jazz landscape.
