The Joe Hunt Modern Jazz Group, this month, features visiting NYC trumpeter John Eckert, former member of Lee Konitz nonet and many other top jazz groups. Drummer/leader Joe Hunt, a local Cambridge resident, has a rich jazz history including extensive sideman gigs with Stan Getz, Bill Evans, George Russell, and others. His wife, Yuka Hamano Hunt is the group's pianist. Mark Pinot is the alto saxophonist, and John Lockwood is the bassist.
