JAZZBOSTON PRESENTS JAZZ ALL WAYS

This musical endeavor is inspired by the lack of performance spaces for jazz. The jazz scene in Greater Boston and beyond has eroded, and opportunities for musicians and their audiences have diminished. The concert world as a whole is in crisis since the pandemic, but we believe that no genre is as vulnerable as jazz, which depends on a fragile ecosystem of performance venues. With Jazz All Ways, JazzBoston is helping to restore that critically important ecosystem.

Jazz is a music tradition rooted in the African-American experience and is communal music based upon the relationship between artists, elders, and their communities. Our stage will be a platform for compelling music – we will spotlight our differences and believe that understanding and celebrating these differences make us all more fully-informed citizens.

For this project, artists have been curated based on excellence, diversity, and innovative program ideas. This new and varied series will include jazz styles like traditional New Orleans, bebop, swing, fusion, and modern – in addition to jazz jams.
